Luxor Travels Terms and Conditions

The term “the Company” refers to Luxor Travels.

Payment Policy:
Reservations should be made as early as possible to guarantee availability. Your booking of a given tour will be secured upon receipt of full payment and after Luxor Travels has sent a final confirmation with a voucher. Confirmation of a reservation will usually be within 48 hours. Payment can be made by bank wire transfer, online payment with PayPal or sent via Western Union. Payment must be received no later than 10 days prior to the confirmed tour date. A voucher should be presented upon commencement of the booked tour.

Amendments by the Client:
Any requests for amending or changing the dates of an existing booking have to be addressed to Luxor Travels by writing to bookings@luxortravels.com. Any changes made to the original booking are subject to availability. If the full payment has been received and a voucher has been issued, no fees will be charged, as long as the request has been received by Luxor Travels more than 7 days ahead of the confirmed travel date. Changes of tickets for air and train travel are subject to an administrative fee.

Amendments by the Company:
Luxor Travels reserves the right to make changes in the final itinerary if the situation at hand requires so. For instance, in some cases, weather conditions can demand an amendment in the itinerary and this does not form any ground for a refund.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Cancellation requests should be addressed to Luxor Travels by writing to bookings@luxortravels.com. In case of cancellation, you may be entitled to a refund, according to the following:

Depending on Tour type and duration, different Cancellation Policies apply:
Day Tours
Cancellation up to 7 days prior to tour departure: 100% refund
Cancellation 6 days or less prior to tour departure or no show: no refund
Multi-day Tours
Cancellation up to 15 days days prior to tour departure: 100% refund
Cancellation 14 days or less prior to tour departure or no show: no refund
Nile Cruise and Flights
Cancellation up to 25 days days prior to tour departure: 100% refund
Cancellation 24 days or less prior to tour departure or no show: no refund

Please note that cancellation fees for canceling a domestic flight within Egypt at any time will be due accordingly to airline’s cancellation policy.

A refund will usually be made to the same account and using the same method used for the original payment. Please note that bank transaction fees, if applicable, are to be paid by the Client.

Special Requests:
Any special request should be directed at Luxor Travels at the time of booking. The Company will try to accommodate such requests, but does not guarantee to do so, even after confirmation of such request by the Company.

Children Policy:
Infants (0-2 years): free of charge
If a tour includes air or train travel, an extra supplement for your infant and/or child may apply.

Gratuities for tour guides, drivers and cruise staff are recommended and highly appreciated, as they are a token of appreciation for good services. Gratuities are left to one’s own discretion, and are not obligatory. If the Client is not sure whether to give gratuities or how much to give, please ask the tour representative for advice.

Client’s Responsibility:
The Client is responsible for any passport, visa or health requirements. The Client has to ensure that all travel documents are in order at the time of travel. A valid passport needs to be with the Client at all times. Luxor Travels is not liable for any results due to incompliance with the above. The Company assumes no liability for personal injuries or accidents, illness, loss of or damage to luggage, delay, or irregularity to person or property resulting directly or indirectly from any of the following causes: weather, acts of God, force major, acts of government or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, labor disputes, riots, theft, mechanical breakdowns, quarantines or acts of default, delays, cancellations or changes made by any carrier, hotel, or restaurant. It is strongly advised that the Client purchases a travel insurance policy for the time of travel. Luxor Travels will not be responsible or liable in case the Client’s insurance policy is not adequate. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expenses. By traveling, the Client accepts all associated risks.

By booking and fulfilling payment the Client acknowledges that the terms and conditions mentioned above have been read and accepted.
